Show Day Packing List

Show Day Packing List

We’re deep into the Fall competition season, and so excited for our clients! We’ve put together a packing list of essentials to help your day go more smoothly.

  • Black/Old sheets for the hotel bed. You definitely don’t want to be charged for staining their sheets with tanner!

  • Old towels to avoid staining hotel towels

  • Blanket and/or Pillow for relaxing/camping-out backstage

  • Baby wipes: these are great for cleaning toilet seats, washing your palms, and removing tanner stain from light-colored bikinis

  • Paper Towels

  • She-Wee or Small Dixie Cups to avoid dripping on tan

  • Stage Jewelry

  • Stage Heels & Back-up Heels: we’ve seen heels break!

  • Bikini & Back-up Bikini: We recommend having a second pair of bottoms on-hand in case of connector breakage, or if your primary suit’s coverage is unacceptable to that particular show’s judges. You also may find that your suit color blends with the stage decor, or that everyone in your class is wearing the same color! You never know what can happen so be prepared!

  • Gloves for tanner touch-ups

  • Bikini Bite or Fashion Tape

  • Sewing Kit or Safety Pins

  • Ziplock Bags: keep all of your liquids in bags in case one of them bursts in your bag!

  • Hair & Makeup touch-up tools: curling irons, straighteners, hair spray, lipstick, setting powder…you get the idea. Even if you’re getting your hair/make-up done, you may not be able to be touched-up later.

  • Backstage Slides/flip-flops: only wear your heels the bare minimum to save your back

  • Lightweight robe or cover-up

  • Loose, dark clothing for post-tan

  • Hair Net and Claw Clips: tanner can stain light-colored hair, so keep it off your shoulders/back while you’re off-stage.

  • Hair Extensions and Comb

  • Mirror

  • Phone Charger and Headphones

  • Power strip and extension cord: One room, dozens of women, one outlet: that’s the stuff of nightmares! Save the day and be prepared for charging emergencies!

  • Snacks, Water, Etc. and Utensils

  • Pump-up Resistance Bands

  • Raincoat or Umbrella

  • Rolling Suitcase

  • Backstage Assistant: if your show allows someone backstage, take full advantage! Don’t feel weird asking for your spouse/bf/gf/sibling/friend to carry heavy things for you and get you what you need! You’re depleted and worked your booty off for this: you are allowed to be queen for a day!

  • Federation Membership & Show Registration

  • Cash

Phew! I think we covered it! Have something to add? Feel free to let us know!
